[OS X TeX] "installing fonts" again - programmers listening? :)

Let's see... we have:

1 - Apple's own .pkg and Installer program
1a- www.osxgnu.org I think it is making packages for same
2 - Fink's use of Debian's apt-get
2a- graphical interface for the above
3 - lots of developers making .dmg which're drag-drop to install
4 - some developers making proprietary executable installers hidden away 
in binary archives
5 - Gerben's i-installer

Did I miss anything?

That's depressing (and I really respect Gerben for putting for the effort 
to address a problem with so many (bad) solutions with a proper one), and 
hate that Apple took something which afforded a chance for consistency and 
an improvement in program/package installation (for the Mac OS) and ruined 
it.
