Thank you Ross, but that is not the difficulty.  It is in the 
*printing* (e.g., say, to a preview pdf) that the page size is 
stuck at one of the few options Apple's driver permits.  So, in 
creating the pdf, the content of the file may be properly sized, 
but is is placed on page sizes other than what I want.
