OIC. The previous discussion didn't seem to indicate that, and I'm
puzzled by the turn the discussion had taken before I'd joined it.

Uh, Eisenhower was in office from 1953--61....

I then said:
>>Overall the Dock has been quite well-received,

to which JG replied:
>We evidently run in /very/ different circles. I don't know anybody

How 'bout having read of anyone liking the Dock?

``If you are a connoisseur of all things Mac OS X,
you may also agree with my belief that the Dock
is one of the crowning achievements of OS X.''

or:
``My personal view on this one is that yes it does indeed justify
itself.
It can change the way wework, and for the better...

or:
``In terms of versatility the dock can bend and stretch more than
Mr. Fantastic. ...as I became more attuned to the
workings of OS X I’ve found that it can be quite handy to see all of
your in use applications and being able to switch between them in one
  glance of the screen.''
>from http://www.macosplanet.com/mospxspecial.shtml

or:
``Another addition to the desktop is the visually stunning
Dock, where open applications and documents will collapse
and reside. Though a bit distracting and obtrusive, the
interactivity of the Dock gives the design a bit of
  personality. ''
