I downloaded their beta and have played with it just a little.  It 
looks pretty interesting.  Their equation-editing tool isn't finished 
but they say it will be pretty great (they're porting it over from 
their NeXTstep, DisplayPostscript code).

The software requires teTeX and FrontBase (at 
<http://www.frontbase.com/>).  I am able to use the teTeX 
distribution from TeXShop without any problems so far.
