    I happened to to notice that the NEWS file has been updated:

I'm sorry, I forgot (again) that updates to the NEWS file in the source
repository are visible immediately. (Unfortunately I also make mistakes
in the other direction, so there is no good solution.)

Anyway, right, 1.803 isn't released quite yet. I will announce it here
when it is ready. Thanks for the careful checking ... -k
