I've been trying to help a user who has a mangled
installation. My suggestion is to uninstall everything
lucida-related except the pfbs and re-install the support
files. But where are the support files?

http://mirrors.ctan.org/install/macros/latex/contrib/psnfssx/lucidabr.tds.zip

is hard to find but still available, whereas lucida.zip
is not. This means the user has to separately download
fd, vf, tfm, and map files and install them in the right
directories.

Why aren'tthe support files conveniently downloadable from
CTAN and/or TUG?
