[lucida] Bounding box of plus sign in LucidaBrightOT

I noticed that in LucidaBrightOT.oft (version 1.800) , the plus sign
extends to the right far out of its bounding box. This looks ugly when
writing things such as ‘C++-Compiler’ or ‘U+2212’. A few other related
symbols, such as the equal and the minus sign (U+2212, not the hyphen)
extend beyond their bounding box as well, by the same amount as the plus
sign does.
The TrueType version of Lucida Bright that comes with Java also shows
this trait of the plus sign. In contrast, in LucidaBrightMathOT, the
bounding box is large enough for the plus sign. In the Type1 version of
Lucida Bright, the bounding box for plus is the same size as in
LucidaBrightOT, but the plus sign is smaller and fits in.
So my hypothesis is that at some time, the plus sign was enlarged, but
the bounding boxes was erroneously not adapted. Or is this a feature
rather than a bug?
