Unfortunately it has. I just downloaded the new version, installed it and ran mkluatexfontdb: exactly the same error as reported by Sebastian pops up (see the attached log).

Can't see in which way the error relates to these updates. A possibility is an error introduced by FontForge when performing the updates (given the fonts are prepared with it). Font Book from Mac OS X 10.7.4 validates LucidaBrightMathOT.otf and LucidaBrightMathOT-Demi.otf though:

Based on that, and on the fact that XeLaTeX experiences no problem with the fonts, it seems more likely that the error comes from luaotfload.

Thanks for this. I should have had a look back at the TUG message providing access to the fonts before writing anything, to see immediately that access was through login/password not limited-duration hyperlink as I remembered erroneously.
