[lucida] Lucida Problem

I don't know really how MiKTeX works (I don't use Windows), but apart  
from that it's old (MiKTeX 2.7 is the current one, right?), here is  
what I can say:


Your installation is *not* using the lucidabr.sty distributed by TUG:

I got my Lucida fonts also from TUG in Jan. 06, and lucidabr.sty has  
date 2005/11/29 v4.3; so maybe you didn't replace an old .sty file  
MiKTeX already had, or didn't put it in the right place, or didn't  
update MiKTeX database...

This is also old: mine is 2005/09/15.

Did you update MiKTeX's texhash and updmap database?

Indeed your PDF has *not* any Lucida font embedded. It's using Adobe  
replacements.
