Yes, you're right ---I didn't catch that: it's --enable Map  
<file.map>; but he's right about updmap-sys, at least on the Mac:

sudo updmap-sys --enable Map lucida.map

Obviously, the OP issued the command right (--enable Map), as he  
succeeded in using Lucida.
