wasting time on a discussing 'the assumption that %d will take your 
float and nicely truncate it anywhere' over 'use floor instead' could 
actually waste a nice bonfire

in fact, auto conversion from 'number to string' and 'string to number' 
isn't really worth a bonfire discussion either

so ... i might as well skip the bonfire this year
