[luatex] What happens to glyphs not in the font?

Huh, that's interesting because neither one does on my machine. (Arch 
Linux x86_64, TeX Live 2013,

This is pdfTeX, Version 3.1415926-2.5-1.40.14 (TeX Live 2013)
This is LuaTeX, Version beta-0.76.0-2013061708 (rev 4627)

That's why I assumed it's a TeX feature …
