Make a example because this works:

\startitemize[before={\startlinecorrection[blank]},after=\stoplinecorrection]
\dorecurse{4}{\startitem \input ward \stopitem}
\stopitemize

\dorecurse{3}{\input tufte\par}

\stoptext
