  Right, but I think this is besides the issue here (as far as I am
concerned, I stay by the feeling that LaTeX hardly works with LuaTeX
anyway, even if it can be made to produce documents ;-).  At this point,
it would be best if Ivan told us what he's using LuaTeX for (new
documents in Russian?  Other languages too?  Old documents too?)

  Actually no, with the T2A font encoding the Cyrillic version of
Computer Modern (called lh at some point) will be used.  I can't
remember if *Latin* Modern doesn't by chance contain Cyrillic characters
after all.
