At the end of installation of TeX Live? Then it is install-tl, but anyway.

I guess the best place would be to add it to the actions in the tlmgr GUI
where there is already something for updmap-sys etc.

That is easy, too, we just have to link them there, or so.

One question: At which point in time these mkluatexfontdb-sys should be 
called during normal operation? Say we install a set of new fonts (.pfb
format)? WOuld it make sense to call the script?

Why do I ask? It looks like this script should be called always when
updmap-sy is also called. Maybe it will be called a few times more, but
that does not hurt as you said.

So the idea is that we adapt the tlmgr so that when it would call updmap-sys
to enable/disable some maps, it would also call that script.

Does that make sense?

I guess I will not start doing anything here until all of you have cleaned
up a bit.

I agree that having that in 2010 would be nice, but if it simply is not
ready so it be.
