Oh, I see now. From TeX by Topic:

You seem to be using the original TeX defaults. 60 is far too small these days. By contrast, texmf.cnf in TL2010 has

param_size = 10000      % simultaneous macro parameters, also applies to MP

I think this will fix the problem. (Using the other parameters in texmf.cnf is probably a good idea, too.)
