[l2h] latex2html.org domain name renewal (or not)

in late June of 2000, when I was actually using latex2html, I registered the domain
name latex2html.org and set it up to redirect to:

   http://saftsack.fs.uni-bayreuth.de/~latex2ht/

however, due to continued frustrations with both latex2html itself, the closed
nature of its development, and infrequent updates, I long ago switched to hyperref
and pdflatex for documentation

let me elaborate for a minute on the above - although latex2html is often "pretty
good", basically I tired of fighting with it - if you search the archives you'll
find numerous issues I encountered prior to 2001 or so - although Ross always
responded very quickly with help, I was always frustrated that my calls for an
open CVS repository - just for checkouts, mind you - were consistently ignored:

   http://tug.org/mailman/htdig/latex2html/2000-July/000697.html
   http://tug.org/mailman/htdig/latex2html/2001-March/001065.html
   http://tug.org/mailman/htdig/latex2html/2001-October/001395.html

the need for CVS access could be avoided by frequent releases, but as I'm sure
everyone is aware, this doesn't happen, as a quick glance at the release site
confirms:

   http://saftsack.fs.uni-bayreuth.de/~latex2ht/current/

anyway, although this sounds rather bitter, I don't mean to attack or change
anything at this point - I've moved on - and I do appreciate the efforts of all
who were involved in latex2html development (esp. Ross)

however, there's the matter of the domain name - basically, although I've been
renewing it each year, at this point I'd like to transfer it to someone more closely
involved in the effort (or at least someone who uses it and would like to support
the effort)

it expires on 6/29/2005 - please contact me directly if you're interested in having
it transfered to you before then so you can renew it
