[l2h] blurred formulas

Hi,

I'm using RedHat 7.2 and there were these famous black borders. I've read 
that these are due to netpbm.
So I decided to install

gs 7.04
netpbm 9.25
latex2html 2002-1

now im getting blurred formulas. I tried to run pstoimg manually with files 
that were generated during the latex2html run, this seems to work... I can't 
help myself!
If anyone has a hint, please tell me
