Hello,
I gave a beep some time ago. I wanted to use my own png-pictures instead of
automatically using those generated from Postscipt pictures. Any
proceedings in that question? If that would be possible a lot of my
problems would vanish.
I use latex2html-2K.1beta. Version 99.8 worked nearly well. Now I got some
problems with a few pictures not beeing converted to pnm. The message says:
> Error while converting image: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
> Converting image #30
> pstoimg: Error: "/usr/bin/pnmcrop -sides -verbose <
> /tmp/l2h8699/p8736.pnm | /usr/bin/ppmquant -floyd 256 | /usr/bin/pnmtopng
> -interlace -trans '#ffffff' > img30.png" failed: Nicht erlaubter Seek
I read in the archive that this is a fault of pnmcrop, using a later
version will cure this illness. So I downloaded and downloaded and
installed and installed. Now no image at all is converted.
When trying to get the latest CVS-version I followed the link at
www.latex2html.org and got
The Web site you seek
cannot be
located but
endless
others
exist
from host saftsack.fs.uni-bayreuth.de
When I found in the archive to log in at
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@btfmx1.fs.uni-bayreuth.de:/CVSROOT/latex2html
login
with a email adress or omitting one i got
cvs login: authorization failed: server btfmx1.fs.uni-bayreuth.de
rejected access to /CVSROOT/latex2html for user anonymous
Is this the endless puzzling story??
What might be the next step towards getting my documents on the web?
Thanks for help
Werner
