After installing latex2html-2K.1beta on my Win98-machine some days ago, =
I've run now into the following problem:
l2h is generating png-images of the mathematical formulas. But all these =
images have a grey background.
I already set $WHITE_BACKGROUND =3D 1; in the .latex2html-init, but =
nothing changed.
What can I do?
Or have I to revert to gifs?

My second problem concerns german umlauts in a \hypercite-macro:

Of my latex-source:=20

\hypercite{Artikel ``Wissenschaftliches Rechnen - eine =
interdisziplin\"{a}re Disziplin"}{Artikel ``Wissenschaftliches Rechnen - =
eine interdisziplin\"{a}re Disziplin"}{}{link:WiReInterdisziplin}
\hypercite{Artikel: ``Was ist Wissenschaftliches Rechnen"}{Artikel: =
``Was ist Wissenschaftliches Rechnen" (Uni Bayreuth)}{}{link:WiReIntro}=20

latex2html produces the following output:

#link:WiReInterdisziplin##1#Artikel ``Wissenschaftliches Rechnen - eine =
interdisziplin=81!228;re Disziplin"!#1#Artikel: ``Was ist =
Wissenschaftliches Rechnen"

When I delete the umlaut \"{a} in the first \hypercite, all is =
rendered ok. Is this a bug?
(I have babel loaded, and \htmladdnormallink has no difficulties with =
umlauts.)
