[l2h] problems installing l2h-2K.1beta

I've spent several hours now trying to get the install to work (on a
Redhat 7.0 linux system), but still without success. I've read the
archived messages, found others with similar problems, but still have
no clue what to do ... the error converting images problem.
I edited the Makefile to do a "make test" with the -debug
option. Below is what spews out. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks.
