Oh dear!  That is embarrassing!
We indeed still had:
  -rw-rw-r--    1 ftpmaint server    364 Dec 11  2019 README.md

  -rw-rw-r--    1 ftpmaint server 380950 Dec 11  2019 atveryend.pdf

Yes, better make this as silent as possible  ;-)
The update had already been announced, with the same text, 
on 2024-08-08.

It is certainly not intentional, but it seems that at the moment
nobody here knows precisely how that can be achieved.
But my three colleagues are investigating, so hopefully the service
can soon be restored.  Sorry for the inconvenience!

 make its way to the mirrors within the next 24 hours.
