I am starting to update my software recommendations for our Labs in my
Department of Exp Statistics.

We have run and greatly benefited from having fpTeX for years as the
TeX/LaTeX engine for our windows machines.

I have noticed that the fpTeX mailing list have been very quite in
the last year. Is this a sign of stable software or is it the case tha
number of fpTeX users is decreasing?

I would like to know what is the near future, say the next three
years, of fpTeX.

This is for planning purposes.

Again, our professional life here has been facilitated by having a nice
tool like fpTeX.

Best regards,
