Dear Fabrice,

> Anything in the log window that could explain this behaviour?

Nothing appears in the log window...

> Does it work with the file texmf/doc/windvi/examples/wtest.dvi ?

Yes, I see everything in this file.

It seems so! I have experimented some more and here I send you a possible problematic example (``figs.tex'' + ``xfignn.ps'')! I suspect that the PS output from my favourite statistical system (R, current version: 1.8.0) is kind of peculiar -- I firstly noticed strange behaviour of dvipdfm when I was trying to compile a *.pdf, containing only plots obtained from R. The output was:

C:\TEMP>dvipdfm figs

figs.dvi -> figs.pdf

After a quick search on the web, I encountered the advice (it was on a unreadable for me japanese web-page, but the command was quite clear) to add the ``-V3'' switch, so the next attempt was successful:

C:\TEMP>dvipdfm -V3 figs

figs.dvi -> figs.pdf
[1(./xfig1.ps<PS>)(./xfig2.ps<PS>)(./xfig3.ps<PS>)(./xfig4.ps<PS>)(./xfig5.ps<PS
>)(./xfig6.ps<PS>)][2(./xfig7.ps<PS>)(./xfig8.ps<PS>)(./xfig9.ps<PS>)(./xfig10.p
s<PS>)(./xfig11.ps<PS>)]

Hope that these first investigation provide some hint at the problem encountered!

Best regards,
Ivailo
