[fptex] PFE

Hi all,

I've noticed a difference between TeXLive 8 and its predecessor.
While installing TeX + friends from TeXLive 7, we had the possibility
of installing the Programmer's File Editor. As far as I can see, that
possibility is absent from TeXLive 8, althought there is still a
ready-to-be-installed version of PFE at

http://texlive.dante.de/texlive/fptex/

Can anyone explain me why is PFE absent from TeXLive 8. Or am I missing
something?
