[fptex] fpTeX quiestion.

Hello, 
 
When compiling fpTeX ducuments using "Prosper" package I get the 
following problem;

Any time that the compiler find the sequence "fi" replace it with the 
pound sign. 
A Word like "definition" appears as "de@nition" where @=pound sign.

I am quite sure that there must be a simple solution for this 
problem....Anyone knows it?
