[fptex] winedt 5.2 and fptex ?

I have just tried winedt 5.2 and it fails to setup correctly its PATH,
so can't find anything useful, especially tex.exe . It keeps saying it
won't find it. When I run (Ctrl-Shift-R) a cmd.exe process, I get :

D:\tmp>path
PATH=;d:\Local\gstools\gs6.50\bin;C:\Program Files\WinEdt

which is definitely not enough.

I'm under Win2K/SP2. Anybody has a clue about the fact that winedt 5.2
can be used out of the box with fptex/texlive ?
