How to update pdftex ?

I've installed fpTeX-0.3 and updated it by unzipping the zip files of the latest beta
version (fptex-0.3d). I would like to update my pdftex since my version (13d) seems to
have some problems with the hyperref package. How can i do this ? I don't understand why
the pdftex.exe of PDFTEX-0_14E-RELEASED-20000217-WIN32.ZIP is 1 Mo big when my old
pdftex.exe is only 16 ko. Is this normal ?
