windvi warning messages

Hello again,

I would like to report a curiosity.
The following behaviour occurred with some earlier versions
of windvi: after closing windvi a dialog box would appear
saying "ViewLogThread does not want to shut down ...",
and then after closing this another would appear saying
"hViewLogThread was already closed".
I had not seen these messages for many moons, but they suddenly
reappeared yesterday (coinciding -- although this turned
out to be merely a coincidence -- with my installing the
fptex-0.4alpha2 binaries). Yesterday, for some other reason,
I had wanted to read some kpathsea messages, and so in my
autoexec.bat file I put
set kpathsea_debug_output =c:/temp/err.log
When I have this set, windvi gives me those warning dialog
boxes, when I do not have it set I do not get them.

Seems strange to me.
