You mean:
\installfont{padri9o}{padri8r,padri8x,latin}{OT1ij}{OT1}{padj}{m}{it}{}
will automagically create the required padri8x.mtx?
Is this done in a way that does _not_ spoil the next
\installfont or \installrawfont command?
