Error messages generated by the mailing list

Hi there everyone,

Currently the mailing list generates error messages for each message
sent to the list:

> This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
>
> A message that you sent has not yet been delivered to all its recipients
> after more than 24 hours on the queue on rsunx.crn.cogs.susx.ac.uk.
>
> ...

We're currently trying to track down the cause of this error, but I'm
afraid it's non-trivial, so please bear with us...
