Dear Ulrik -- thank you for reminding me of this function: in reducing
the number of lists which I read manually, I have forgotten to keep
this archive up-to-date; if there is another site which is maintaining
an archive, it would be better to change the documentation to refer to
that site; if not, let me know and I will do my best to re-create the
missing archives (I do archive all messages, but had forgotten to 
create the files referred to).  ** Phil.
