Neeraj Sarna
During early 2009, the TUG Board announced a competition to design a new logo for the TEX Users Group. The competition attracted almost a dozen entrants, some of whom submitted more than one design, but in the final analysis the Board felt that none was sufficiently outstanding to justify replacing the existing logo, and thus there was no "winner" as such. Nonetheless, the Board were very grateful for all the hard work put into the designs, and have decided to mount a permanent portfolio of the submissions† on the web. This page forms that portfolio.

Note : Although the rubric for the competition required that all entrants submit a PNG version with smaller dimension 72px, this requirement was honoured more in the breach than in the observance. The logos that appear on this page therefore vary quite significantly in size, but it was not felt worthwhile regenerating identically sized versions of each. Some entrants also failed to submit a colour version of the logo; the corresponding space in the table above has therefore been left blank.
