Abstract:
OpTeX [1] was introduced in an article [2] in the previous issue of TUGboat.
It is a macro package that creates a format for LuaTeX.
Its features are comparable with other formats like LaTeX or ConTeXt.
One may ask why use a new format, particularly when it requires a different
markup syntax? I try to answer this question here. I present a comparison
among the LaTeX, ConTeXt, and OpTeX formats,
from various points of view.
