Bio for Peter Flom

I am a statistician at a nonprofit research company, and an independent consultant to graduate students and researchers in education, psychology, and the social sciences; for more on this, see my web page. I started using LaTeX in 2004, after getting fed up with how a certain well known word processing program was mangling my formulae. As someone with very little background in computing, and none in typesetting, I see myself as the newbie in your midst - an enthusiastic neophyte who is eager to help the experts help the beginners.

I live in New York City with my wife and two sons, and I enjoy reading, eating, and playing Scrabble(R).
