This report presents the experiences of three participants in a LaTeX course given by D.V.L.K.D.P. Venugopal at Banaras Hindu University in India (see http://tug.org/pracjourn/2006-2/venugopal/). This popular course, which runs for one week, was conducted three times in the year 2006. The three participants discuss their initial reaction to LaTeX, and compare it to other formatting systems.
