Murray,

I also "translated" my Y&Y TeX installation to another computer the same way you did and
found WinEDT acting strangely. Further investigation showed that the problem was in
the way WinEDT set some paths up -- stuff like '%b\Exec\ps2pdf.edt' in winedt.ini.
I tried to fix the paths by hand, editing the winedt.ini file, without any success.
Apparently, WinEDT sets these paths in the registry during its installation procedure
and the only way to fix them was to install WinEDT over the "translated" one,
assigning the right paths when requested by the installation.

Perhaps this would be the explanation for the strange behaviors you are finding...

--jrs.

On Tue, Mar 25, 2008 at 2:01 PM, Murray Eisenberg <murray@math.umass.edu> wrote:
bin directory seems to have fixed this.

But why? BEFORE I added that to the path, the WinEdt Configuration
Wizard's Diagnosis already showed the correct path to gswin32c.exe:

GS-Bin: (gswin32c.exe): OK*
D:\WP\gs\gs8.61\bin\gswin32c.exe

And the WinEdt Execution Modes - YandY TeX dialog's Ghostscript tab also
already showed the correct GS Bin folder.
