<DIV>Personally, I did not investigate the new PCTeX packaging of Lucida. This something that Walter will know the best. Because Christina Tiele mentioned me as one who was poking around in old Y&Y files, just to mention that I use a completely reworked and customized set of fonts for any mathy job. It is applicabel to any font but elaborated in detail for those that I use all the time---Times, Palatino, Helvetica, including narrow versions for a special style for tables, as well as about two dozen more of common fonts </DIV>

<DIV>What I find superb in Lucida is that the font design itself works fine with the tough points of high-quality math typesetting. To mention just dome of them: x-height quite large, slant is not at a big angle, overall letterspacing is quite open... There are no terrible challenges in fine-tuning the kerning and spacing as in Dutch where the uppercase italic A and V are so oblique that they require very substantial kerning.</DIV>
