Is it possible to use xetex to read UTF-8 text? Should I

TVM for your reply. In fact, I have now discovered lualatex and,
after succeeding in typesetting the<br>
first chapter of my book, I shall use it. It would seem that
lualatex does most of what xetex does, but<br>
of course I may be wrong in that assertion.<br>
