seems to solve (at least some) current conflicts between bidi (via arabxetex) and titlesec, even with a complex titlesec setup and lots of other packages loaded. Using bidi v.1.1.6<br>

May have to do with the redefinitions of \chapter and \section?<br>
<br><br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>Do not know really. by the way, titlesec is not yet supported in bidi and so generally its usage together with bidi should be avoided until bidi supports it fully. Of course you are more than welcome to use titlesec with bidi provided you take the responsibility of future issues and conflicts. </div>
