Hello Ross,

I know the Minion Pro from Adobe doesn't support blackboard bold fonts (though I wished it did - its just to start saving for the Minion Math fonts from typoma!), I just put it in there to avoid the errors when compiling. If I don't use \setmathbb{Minion Pro} I get an error for each \mathbb I have in the document, while if I do use it, the errors are skipped, but the output is ofcourse not in blackboard bold :)

I'll try some of the fonts you suggested for the blackboard bold though. I only knew about Asana Math and Cambria Math, so I'll definitely try the others as well, might be that I find them more suitable w.r.t. Minion Pro as default font in the rest of the document.

Thanks again!

Dragan

> From: ross@ics.mq.edu.au
> Date: Mon, 1 Mar 2010 15:10:30 +1100
> To: xetex@tug.org
> Subject: Re: [XeTeX] How to use AMS's \mathbb with XeLaTeX?
>
> Hello Dragan,
>
> On 01/03/2010, at 6:15 AM, dragan mitrevski wrote:
>
> > Hello,
> >
> > I'm new to XeTeX/XeLaTeX, so be kind ;)
> >
> > I just got a quick question, how can I use the AMSs' \mathbb for
> > blackboard bold fonts?
>
> > \setmathbb{Minion Pro}
>
> Minion Pro does not have support for any blackboard bold characters.
> --- at least not the version that I have.
>
> Try something which does:
> Asana Math, Cambria Math, Code 2001, Deja Vu, Free Serif,
> StixGeneral, Unicode Symbol
> support the full alphabet (upper & lower case).
> Many others, such as Linux Libertine, Ume ... , MS Gothic
> support just the commonly-used \mathbb capitals: C H N P Q R Z.
>
> > As I don't got the MinionPro Math font, I thought I could try other
> > fonts and see which that suits the MinionPro the best, but so far I
> > haven't managed to use any other useful fonts, so hopefully someone
> > can help me out. :)
>
>
> >
> > Cheers,
> >
> > drgz
>
> Hope this helps,
>
> Ross
>
> ------------------------------------------------------------------------
> Ross Moore ross@maths.mq.edu.au
> Mathematics Department office: E7A-419
> Macquarie University tel: +61 (0)2 9850 8955
> Sydney, Australia 2109 fax: +61 (0)2 9850 8114
> ------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
>
>
>
>
> --------------------------------------------------
> Subscriptions, Archive, and List information, etc.:

Hotmail: Powerful Free email with security by Microsoft. Get it now.
