<br>Hello Ross,<br><br>I did exactly what you adviced:<br><br>1. downloaded new xetex.ini, xelatex.ini;<br>2. checked that there are only single copies of both files and replaced them with the new ones [though the replaced files were already newest];<br>3. updated MiKTeX filebase;<br>4. rebuilt xetex.fmt and xelatex.fmt.<br><br>Xelatex.exe still complains that <br><br>!
