Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to ask you, please, if anyone of you may have a solution for this problem:

I would like to set two facing texts, one in LTR in Latin script and the other in RTL in Arabic using longtable and bidilongtable, and to have the possibility to insert two layers of footnotes, one LTR in a Latin font for the LTR part of the text, and the other RTL with an Arabic font.

In the LTR layer the footnote marks appear in normalfont size and with a dot after the number, and in the RTL layer the first footnote mark appears correct, but the second in Latin script.

Has anyone an idea how to correct this?

Attached is the tex file with the features I would like to achieve.

With best wishes and best regards,
Jens Bakker
