>From source/README.hacking, you need:
autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.69
automake (GNU automake) 1.14
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 2.4.2

When I was still using Ubuntu, I used this PPA to get the latest GNU
packages:
https://launchpad.net/~dns/+archive/gnu
