Hello,

I confirm this is a polyglossia issue. With babel, everything works as it should:

\documentclass[10pt]{beamer}
\usepackage[polish,francais]{babel}
\usepackage{xltxtra}
\usepackage{fontspec}
\usepackage{hyperref}

\usefonttheme[stillsansseriflarge]{serif}
\setmainfont[BoldFont={Apolonia-Bold},Ligatures=Contextual,Contextuals=Swash]{Apolonia}
\setmonofont{DroidSansMono}
\setsansfont[Ligatures=Contextual,Contextuals=Swash]{Apolonia Nova OT}
\newfontfamily\dejavusans[Ligatures=Required]{DejaVuSans}
\newfontfamily\dejavuserif[Ligatures=Required]{DejaVuSerifCondensed}

\begin{document}
some sentences
\end{document}

did exactly behave as I expected. So I'll switch to babel for a few days.

PS: I looked at beamer sources, but wasn't able to find some usefull infos about this bug. Maybe this is connected to \usebeamerfont macro?
