Looking at language.dat found by kpsewhich, I see the following notice:

% DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE (language.dat)! It is generated by tlmgr.

The tlmgr documentation does not appear to have anything about
hyphenation. Is there a way to simple add the patterns, say to
dumyhyph.tex?

Thanks,

Aleksandr.
