[XeTeX] manyfoot.sty problems after update to MacTex 2010

I can report a a similar unpleasant outcome of updating some packages via the Tex Live Utility (TLU).
Updating fontspec via TLU renders the xcolor package inoperative (at least in my case).

Compilation runs without errors but all color commands are ignored, producing a final black and white pdf.

I decided to re-install the original MacTeX2010 package, and to upgrade a few packages using TLU (except fontspec) and everything seems normal now.

Best,
António Fernandes

Is there some way to do this through the console? Or does anyone know if there are certain known problematic packages clashing with something in 2010 (at least in regards to the error I've described below)?
