Unfortunately not :(
But I'll take a look (and try and develop a workaround for Joseph if 
possible) before I send it to CTAN. It is quite a significant problem.

You don't happen to be using Windows, are you? (Sorry, I can't recall.) 
Can you reproduce the output of that example?
