[XeTeX] Need some input about \newcommand to create alias

The crucial point is that this package looks at the font you are using, and if it's a well endowed font including specially designed super-/subscript figures, it will use these for the occasion instead of faking them by using scaled down figures.

Of course you could use these special figures by directly inserting them, then you don't need xltxtra for this purpose (but maybe for others ...)
