I meant applying it to the trunk as opposed to just applying it to my
source every time. (I know that it's doable, but I'll disable building
XeTeX in the workflow and take it from TeX Live instead. I cannot
compile XeTeX for two out of three platforms anyway and XeTeX is not
as actively changing as it used to, so TL binaries will serve just
fine for some time.)

I can send it, but we cannot do anything about it. I later figured out
that compilation stops at

../../../texk/web2c/xetexdir/XeTeXFontMgr_Mac.mm:67: error:
‘FMGetFontFromATSFontRef’ was not declared in this scope

This and other functions have disappeared from Apple core (Dick Koch
confirmed that and also reminded me of some other facts that I
forgot), so there's nothing we can do before Jonathan or someone else
completely rewrites some part of XeTeX that talks to Apple's
libraries.
